FRANCIS KENNELS

Dog Obedience and Agility

Testimonials

My dog Icy and I have really enjoyed our agility classes with Talerie.  Talerie is very patient with Icy (and me), and is always "positive" in her training methods.  Before we started agility, Icy lacked enthusiasm for everything!  It was impossible to take her for even a short walk, she just wasn't interested.  At our first agility class, Icy walked over the jumps.  Now, she is running the agility course, jumping over the poles and through the tires.  She even looks forward to our long morning walks, (me too).  I love seeing her so happy.  Thanks to Talerie, my family now has a very happy and energetic companion to share our lives with!!!  Thanks Talerie!  -Karen and Icy

My experience with Francis Kennels far exceeded my expectations when I took my puppy, Cooper, there for obedience training.  I was very impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the trainer.  With the small class setting, she was able to provide a lot of individual attention to us and teach me very useful skills in being an owner to a healthy, productive and obedient puppy.  Cooper is a Vizsla and can be very head strong, but after his first round of obedience classes, he has turned into a very well behaved teenager!  I already have and will continue to advise everyone that they will be very pleased and satisfied with Francis Kennels and their on-site trainer, Talerie.  Cooper is looking forward to agility training!  Thank you.  -Missy and Cooper

We really enjoyed the obedience class.  Talerie is excellent!  -Jim and Ranger

My daughter Catie (age 4) and I started her dog, Sammy, in obedience class to help with his behavior.  We all really enjoyed the class, including Sammy.  We decided to continue with the agility class.  Sammy thrives in the class and does a great job.  Talerie really makes the effort to include my daughter in every class as much as possible.  I feel like this is a great opportunity to boost her self-esteem and hopefully gain a life long hobby.  We plan on continuing with the agility training and maybe entering some competitions in the future.  -Lynn and Sammy

Shadow is a very hyper 15 month old black lab female mix.  We were able to learn the tools necessary to get her to respond and be controlled.  Granted, she is very food driven and very rarely listens well without a treat, but that is much better than not listening at all.  All of our main concerns were addressed and we can now keep her away from our food when we are eating and take her on a walk without her pulling our arm off.  She will even stay when we toss her favorite toy until we release her to go get it.  My husband was a skeptic, but even he is glad that we went through training.  We were fearful that we would have a trainer that used a "don't raise your voice at your dog" approach, but that was not the case.  We have to use a firm raised voice to get the response we desire because she is so stubborn.  Thanks again.  -Heather, Shane, Morgan and Shadow

We adopted our 2 year old Weimaraner, Jake, from a rescue knowing full well the challenges we would likely encounter with his unknown history and the stubbornness that the breed is typical of possessing.  We started class with a sad and timid dog who was scared of the world, but with Talerie's expertise and "always positive" approach, we learned how to tailor our training to fit Jake's history and personality.  Not just a class about training dogs, we too have learned life-long skills that have already made such a difference in improving our bond with Jake and his outlook on the world.  What an amazing transformation he has made into a well-mannered, happy, outgoing, and obedient dog!  Our experience with Francis Kennels and Talerie far exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to continue on to agility training with her.  Many Thanks Talerie! - Erin, Paul, and Jake.
